  • Audition Registration closes: November 6, 2019
  • Audition Payments (or official purchase orders) must be postmarked no later than: November 20, 2019
  • Festival Acceptance: December 18, 2019
  • Festival Payments Due: February 5, 2020

CMEA Copyright Policy

CMEA expects all students participating in the audition process to abide by all copyright laws. Students must have an original piece of music, a digitally purchased copy w/receipt, a public domain copy, or perform from memory. With the exception of students performing from memory, students auditioning without an acceptable copy of music may be disqualified from festival participation.    

Teachers who fail to meet the Regional auditions deadline may register students on-site the day of auditions. However, the on-site auditions fee is $50 per student, which may be billed to the school or paid for on-site, day-of.
 
HARP - all CT Middle and High School Harp Region auditions will take place at one site on one day, at the Southern Region High School auditions. Check the SRHS website page for date and site. Teachers should register their harp students in their own regions as they do all other students; MS teachers should please note that MS harp students must be registered on CTFEST by early November in order for Region Directors to coordinate scheduling with the SR Director and SAC Chair, and then disseminate scheduling information to teachers, parents, and students.
